Fall Update

We had a chance to get to two of our fall family traditions this last week, frosting halloween cookies and visiting the local orchard/pumpkin patch.

Nora was old enough to participate in the cookie making process this year, though she's a little confused as to why we can't just eat all the frosting with our hands. Abby had a great time and got to help in the baking process as well, her favorite part there was cutting out the various shapes. She also had a chance to try out all her glamourous poses for my pictures.

Tuesday the weather was really nice so we went out to Curtis Orchard, though it was windy enough that we had a hard time getting good photos. Our first stop was the petting zoo, and their favorite part was feeding the goats. Well Abby's favorite part was feeding the goats, after much coaxing we were able to convince Nora to get within three feet of the goats and heave a piece of food in their direction.

After that we loaded up the wagon and trekked out to the pumpkin patch, which unfortunately is behind the orchard. It was a little picked over but there was a good selection in the back. Finally, we found the perfect pumpkin, Abby was excited because she said it could stand up on it's own and that was important.
