We went to preschool open house today so Abby could meet her teachers and fellow class mates. Abby did okay, but was pretty overwhelmed by the end. That's all right, I figure learning how to interact nicely in a classroom setting is pretty much the whole point of preschool anyway. Nora loved it.
Abby was very excited before we left though, and we have a few good pictures. She chose a great outfit.

It's Like Living with a Monkey
Nora's gotten to be quite the climber these days. (After consultation with our moms, we've discovered that this is Adam's fault, so any negative consequences of her climbing are also his fault.) Every time I turn around, she's on top of another piece of furniture, or pushing the gate out of the way to climb the stairs, or at the very least having her dolls or stuffed animals climb on things she knows she's not allowed on. (If I catch her making her toys climb on things they're not supposed to, she tells them "No no!" and smacks their hands. It's kind of cute.)
Here are a few of the predicaments she's gotten herself into:
One day she climbed onto the bottom part of our dining room table and couldn't figure out how to get out. I came in to her yelling, "Mommy! Mommy! I'm stuck!"
A couple of days after that, she got on the top of the table. Boy, was she proud of herself!
This afternoon, she figured out how to get on top of the radiator.
I tell you, it's like living with a monkey!
